WITH REGARDS TO PLAGIARISM, MINORITY CAUCUS IN PARLIAMENT HAVE EXHIBITED A GROSS LEVEL OF DUPLICITY

It is said that when the cacophonous noise of a gun stops, birds stop flying. Yes!
Until some politicians disallow their senses of judgement from being engulfed by hypocrisy, lies and pettiness, our nation will continue to be in “Brownian motion” toward development.
As an academic and a lover of knowledge through my versatility on the field of academics,in as much as I respect the pros and cons of PLAGIARISM, I don’t think a notion pertaining to plagiarism must deplete a second of the limited time for parliamentary proceedings at the expense of substantive issues that need to be dealt with to ensure economic, human development ,etc .
I think it is absolutely impracticable, for the Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu to ask our president to revert the delivered speech and make an acknowledgement to the source of a single assertion.
The most embarrassing thing about the minority leader is that, per an investigation I conducted in University Of Ghana, legon,Mr.Haruna Iddrisu couldn’t receive his masters degree certificate because,he was involved in a more serious PLAGIARISM scandal. After he submitted his thesis in 2000,when he was a youth organiser for the opposition,NDC,consequently,he was accused of an act of plagiarism by his supervisors; professor Abotsi(then Dr.) and Dr. Y. Yangyouru at the sociology department of University Of Ghana, Legon in 2006.It was published in  the Ghanaian times by a former registrar in the university.
I think the minority must be ashamed of themselves to have what I call an “academic criminal ” whose Master’s certificate wasn’t awarded to him due to his involvement in a high level criminal offence in the field of academics instead of wasting time in parliament to enthusiastically forwarding a notion about a speech within which a lot of cited texts had their respective acknowledgements.
I think, when NPP was in opposition, it’s minority in parliament raised critical and economically productive issues which made all Ghanaians see the direction to which the governance of our nation moved. It’s about time Haruna Iddrisu mimicked the objectivity, patriotism and goodwill with which Mr. Osei kyei Mensah Bonsu led his minority to surface a good yield which all Ghanaians are   aware of, if not, I don’t think it’s worth having a minority in parliament at all!
