GHANA MADE CARS – “KANTANKA VEHICLES” BEYONG GLORY

Over the years many critics have hollered over whether the made in Ghana vehicles could make the international scenes. These vehicles, having gone through rigorous test are ever ready to withstand every condition.
Extraordinary finish, perfect engines and ability to withstand every whether condition is credited to ‘Kantanka cars’. Osafo Kantanka has entered into the history books of Ghana for being the first Ghanaian to manufacture over 100 cars and being the first West African to launch incredible automobiles ready for the global market.

Kantanka models are tough enough for local conditions. In order to shut down the critics, he gave some of the vehicles to the Ghana police for them to try, knowing that they handle cars a lot especially on rough roads.  The test was successful which revealed that, the vehicles can compete with even the biggest brands globally.

Yet the company faces a number of challenges due to the small scale operation. Sources reveals that the manufacturing base in Accra can produce just 100 cars a month, and with high costs and the cheapest of three models costs around $20,000.

Kwadwo Safo Jr, CEO of Kantanka Group who was interviewed by a CNN reporter disclosed that the “The biggest challenge is people believing (and) having faith in the car,”.

Economically, the made in Ghana vehicles can create a lot of employment to Ghanaian youth reducing the unemployment situation of the country, increasing the exports earning of the country which can go a long way to reduce our budget deficits in the country and many others. This can be a beacon to redeem Ghana from the crumpling economy.

Government must create an enabling environment for these genius brand to compete globally, patronized by nationals or members in the country and given the necessary support.

Kantaka cars need more government support. Apostle Kwadwo Safo is an icon for many young entrepreneurs in Africa as well as Kwadwo Safo Jr, CEO of Kantanka Group is the man with the enormous business ideas.

Made in Ghana vehicles will move beyond glory – Kantaka Cars.
