The 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards ended successfully at the Best Western Premier Hotel
Rewarding excellence in Basketball in the year 2016 under review, saw some High School students, Tertiary Students and officials honored for their contributions to Ghana Basketball in Ghana.
The program begun with a cocktail where guest and awardees gathered around fraternizing at the serene swimming pool area at the Best Western Premier Hotel
The ceremony commenced with a splendid performance by eShun, the best and youngest vocalist in Ghana, who sung the Ghana National Anthem in grand style.
The CEO of Rite Sports Limited, Yaw Sekyi gave a brief message on the awards and commended the selection committee which was chaired by Princeworth Anane Asare, GHAPSA representative.
On the same panel were also able members (Rafiq Arthur – GBBA representative, Alexander Tindani – Coaches rep., Daniel Apaak – GUSA rep., Victor Adu-Boahene – PUSAG rep, Olulonyo – DC Dynamics and Patrick Akoto – Rite Sports).”I commend the selection committee for an excellent job done” he acknowledged.
He also asserted that Rite Multimedia, is an award winning sports
He added that the partnership with key stakeholders and sponsors to develop the sports has helped shape the talents of many players in the country.
He ended his eloquent speech with the introduction of a basketball application (App) which will enable adequate and access to information. He finally commended the special guests of honor to the event Azuma Nelson boxing hall of famer, Nathaniel Attoh Ghana’s finest sports
