Abedi Pele backs ‘good man’ Kwesi Appiah to succeed as Black Stars coach

Ghana legend Abedi Pele is convinced Kwesi Appiah is the right man to handle the Black Stars.

The triple African Footballer of the Year has welcomed the ex-Ghana captain back to the position he left three years ago.

Appiah was appointed last month to replace Avram Grant and expected to sign a two-year deal.

He will be unveiled next week before he officially starts work 01 May.

“Kwesi Appiah is a good man. Personally I have nothing against him. I want all of us to support him succeed as the Black Stars,” Abedi told the media at the weekend.

“I wish him well. The people who appointed him believes he can do the job that’s why they appointed him. All we can do now is to back him to succeed.”
