Arise Ghana youth for your country,
The nation demands your devotion,
Let all unite to uphold her,
And make here great and strong,
We are all involved 3x
In building our motherland!
sing it and mean it nice reminder!
Yes, I believe we all know about this song and probably have sang it on numerous occasions but what meaning do you make out of this?
I was surfing the Internet this dawn when I came across this information.
ANIMALS AND THE NUMBER OF HUMAN BEINGS THEY AVERAGELY KILL YEARLY
👺Hippopotamus – 700 people
👺Lion – 500 people
🐍 Snakes – 1000 people
👺 Spider – 50,000 people
👺 Mosquitoes – 2.7m people
I derived a lot of insight and motivation from the above extract especially knowing today(Aug. 12) is the United Nation-Youth Day.
On 17 December 1999, in its
resolution 54/120 , the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the recommendation made by the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth (Lisbon, 8-12 August 1998) that 12 August be declared International Youth Day and this year’s celebration is dubbed “ The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Consumption and Production ”.

My question is, what do we the youth know that it is expedient we do that we have not even made a step towards?
I humbly write this to encourage us all that just like the mosquito (despite being the smallest amongst the others in the extract) it causes a great deal of discomfort for us all.
For this reason, I calls on all and sundry to take up tasks that will help us get to our destination. Let’s arise and get devoted to right the wrong and build our motherland.
He who goes to bed with an itchy anus wakes up with smelly fingers. We are all involved.
