Kazuyoshi Miura a former Japanese footballer who currently plays in the Japanese division two league for Yokohama Fc scored for his club at age 49.
Kazuyoshi Miura is not known by many football lovers across Europe, America and Africa but, very popular in Asia especially the Japanese league.
Kazu made his professional debut as a footballer in 1986 for Brazilian side Santos at the age of 19 years. He went on to play for Clubs such as Sydney Fc, Genoa and Yokohama Fc just to mention but a few.




Kazu played for the Japanese national team but failed to represent the country of his birth at a world cup. In 1990 at the age of 23 years he made his debut for Japan and retired at the age of 33 years in 2000 from international football. He appeared 89 matches scoring 55 goals for Japan.
On 6th August 2016, he became the oldest footballer and oldest goalscorer in the Japanese Pro League at age 49.
In the 74th minute, Kazuyoshi Miura scored for Yokohama Fc, after he was introduced in the 69th minute for Tetsuya Okubo. Yokohama Fc went on to win against Cerezo Osaka after regulation time. The game ended 2:3 in favor of Yokohama fc.
