Blakk Rasta officially launches ‘Kuchoko Revolution’ album

Celebrated Ghanaian reggae artiste Blakk Rasta has officially launched his eighth album titled”Kuchoko Revolution’

Kuchoco is Blakk Rasta’s new creation of African Reggae; it’s regular Jamaican Reggae music blended powerfully with indigenous African sounds and dances.

The 13-track album which was launched at the Hotel Grand Casamora at East Legon in Accra on Monday 1st May,2017, with ‘Serwaa Akoto’ as the hit song,was attended by high-profile personalities including Professor Doudou and Kwesi Pratt,who launched the album.MC for the night was Daddy Bosco formally of Adom Fm.

‘Kuchoko Revolution’is under the distribution of international record label – VP Records.Apparently, Blakk Rasta is the first Ghanaian reggae artist is to be signed on VP Records, the same label that has produced lots of winners for the ‘Best Reggae’ category at the Grammys.




Blakk Rasta and his Herbalist Band put up an exhilarating and energetic performance that got patrons including Kwesi Pratt clapping unceasingly.

His highly-anticipated concert,’Blakk Rasta Kuchoko Roots Festival’, is also slated for May 21, 2017 at the La Boma Beach

The multiple award winning radio presenter cum reggae musician has previously produced albums including Rasta Shrine (2000), More Fyah (2002), Ganja Minister (2004), Natty Bongo (2006), Naked Wire (2008), Voice of the Afrikan Rebel (2009) and Born Dread (2011).
