A top source close to the Chinese Club, Tianjin Teda playmaker, informed www.sports villagesquare.com that the Nigerian midfielder had been in London for days undergoing a surgery which was successful.
“He had been injured since April 2 when his team beat Chongqing Dangdai Lifan F.C.

“We flew him to London for a surgery which everyone is a were of, but to my surprise no Chelsea player came visiting despite the hospital being close to Chelsea home ground, Stamford Bridge.”
“I am quite sure he twitted some of his old friend at the bridge about his present health, but I guess they show deaf ears due to busy schedule of the team which are aiming double for successful season,” he said.
The 30 year old midfielder whose effort to treat the injury in China was jeopardize twitted:
“Surgery went well, rehab next. Shame I can’t be on the pitch till the next few weeks fighting for honour at Tianjin Teda.
However, the outgoing Chelsea captain, John Terry and another former player, Radamel Falcao have visited Mikel in the hospital.
