The Western regional Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Japhet Baidoe, has sued his regional chairman, Michael Aidoo and two others – Famous Tumi Acquah, the western regional communication officer and a party member, Kwesi Dick – for defamation at the Sekondi High Court.
In his statement of claim, the plaintiff, Japhet Baidoe claims on Sunday April 28, 2017 the defendants held a meeting with some constituency chairmen of the party where they accused him of diverting party flags worth GHS3000.
Meanwhile, Empire News’ Emmanuel Ohene Gyan who is in possession of a correspondence signed by the western regional communications officer Mr. Acquah, said the suspension was a decision taken at a regional executive committee (REC) meeting on Sunday April 28, 2017, with 25 members being present to make up the required quorum of 19 members.
