Leading real estate developer, Lakeside Estate has expanded from residential to commercial and institutional real estate with the launch of a Business Centre at its premises at Adenta.
The Lakeside Business Centre (LBC) which is a three-storey building will house a Banking Hall, mortgage centre, supermarket, pharmacy, doctor’s office, restaurant, commercial shop and their new Head Office.
Launching the facility, the Director of Lakeside Estate, Alhaji Salah Kweku Kalmoni described this feat as the third evolution of Lakeside Estate which started in 1974 as Agri-Cattle Ltd in Industrial farming with 10,00 heads of Cattle and 4,000 Acres of Agrarian land which evolved in the year 2000 as a Real Estate developer providing affordable housing.
Mr. Kalmoni noted that as the Lakeside Estate community matures it had become viable that such investments are made touting that the LBC will support the wider community of Ashalley Botwe and Adenta.
Lakeside Estate he informed has successfully built and sold over 1,000 houses, two commercial shops and run for 15 years the award-winning Lakeside Marina Park and “with the support of an Institutional Investor we have the Madina Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) and the Swedish Ghana Medical Centre (SGMC)” he said.
Other upcoming projects include an international university, first-class workshop by Japan Motors, Cardio Hospital, Fitness Centre, Technical Academy.
“We are also developing a 1 km dual carriage road at the northern end of University Avenue reserved for large national and international companies. Plans are far advance to make Lakeside Estate a West African destination for Medical Tourism and Entertainment Tourism with hotels, conferences and theme parks in the next two decades which will herald the 4th evolution of the company” he said and urged those present both local and international businesses to start planning their strategic offices, institutions and workshops at the New Accra, Lakeside Estate,” he adds.
Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank, Alhassan Andani, who was the special guest noted that the provision of essential services for residences such as the Business Centre being witnessed goes a long way to decongest major cities in the country as such, such investment deserves commendation.
He recalled a partnership and personal involvement with the Kalmoni family since 1992 describing the family as visionary people who plan for the future. He said it was no surprise to see Lakeside Estate invest in such a massive infrastructure which has the potential to create huge employment opportunity.
Mr. Andani urged other estate developers to take a cue from the Lakeside Estate by investing in the interest of its residents by creating not just dormitories but real communities.
Invited guest, Hon. Nii Noi Adumoah, the new Municipal Chief Executive of Adenta paid tribute to the Lakeside Estate and the Kalmoni Group for adding its quota to National development through the investment of infrastructural facilities and assured Government will continue to partner Private businesses for accelerated development.
Speaking in an interview with the media, the Managing Director of Lakeside Estate, Dr. Prince-Joseph M. K. Ayiku reaffirmed on behalf of Management the Business Centre is part of a bigger plan for the area. “As the community develops, needs arise which needs to be catered for. We have invested in security (two police stations), health, education and many other sectors and will continue with such investments for the welfare of our residents”.
