Gospel musician, SP Kofi Sarpong, as part of preparations towards his upcoming concert, SP Kofi Sarpong Live Concert, paid a courtesy call on former President Jerry John Rawlings at his Ridge residence.
The call was to invite the former President to attend the concert which will take place on May 28 at the National Theatre.
The artiste, together with his management, Media Excel, presented former President with tickets to the concert and a portrait of SP Kofi Sarpong.
They also used the opportunity to inform the former President that proceeds from the concert will help register 5000 children on to National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and if possible also register mothers of the children.
In his response, former President Rawlings applauded the artiste and his management for the initiative and pledged to make time to attend the concert.
