John Dumelo has boosted hawker’s business – Sonnie Badu

UK-based Ghanaian gospel musician, Sonnie Badu believes John Dumelo has helped boost the business of now famous bread seller whose photo the actor posted on Instagram over the weekend.

According to him, the actor is a “destiny helper” sent by God to aid the growth of Godfred Obeng Boateng’s business. Mr Boateng has been baking bread for the past eight years and he is the CEO of A1 Bread.

Over the weekend, John Dumelo sent social media buzzing after he posted a photograph of Mr Boateng selling bread on the streets with the caption: “Just saw a KNUST grad hawking in traffic…What went wrong?”

That post angered and generated a social media storm with some Ghanaians, including musician A-Plus, insisting his comment was insulting and disrespectful and demanded he pulled it down.

John Dumelo, probably feeling the pressure, deleted the post and on Monday, rendered an unqualified apology to Godfred Obeng Boateng.

The actor revealed that he has gotten in touch with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) graduate after misjudging him in the Instagram post.

In rendering the apology, he said “I will soon join him on the streets to experience this selfless act for myself. Very inspiring.”

Sonnie Badu, who recently won Gospel Artiste/Group at the 2017 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, explained in a post on Instagram that, he admires Mr Boateng and the actor has helped his business.

“From a business stand point @johndumelo1 has actually boosted the gentleman’s business (interviews everywhere) God has an interesting way of sending destiny helpers. Listening to the young man’s interview, he seems to be a smart business man. His responses [were] so on point, I actually admire him,” the ‘Still You Reign’ hit singer revealed.

He added that, the A1 Bread CEO “would rather sell the bread himself than trust others to mess up his business. I admire him for starting something on a small scale and not complaining that there is no job in Ghana. I pray that other young men will pick something up from this and start their own business with the little they have .. Dr Badu .. #GhanaTrendingIssues .”
