Police give clearance for Adom FM presenter’s ‘Fabɛwoso’ demo

The Greater Accra Police Command has given clearance for the upcoming demonstration against corruption.
The demonstration which is being organized by Adom FM, a brand in leading media brand in Ghana, Multimedia Group, is meant to raise awareness on the high rate of corruption in the country especially among state actors.
Host of the station’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsɛm’, Captain Smart would lead tens of thousands of Ghanaians from Accra and beyond to present a petition to the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) calling for investigations and prosecution of persons named in various reports especially the Auditor General’s report.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show Wednesday, Public Relations Officer at the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, ASP Afia Tengey confirmed that the police have given a green light for the demonstration.
“We have received notifications from Multimedia Group and the organizers of the demonstration, they have satisfied all the requirements in the Public Order Act and hence we would be there to provide security for the peaceful walk against corruption…,” she confirmed




Routes for ‘Fabɛwoso’ demo
ASP Afia Tengey called on participants of the walk against corruption to converge at the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle (a popular spot for demonstrators) at 7:00 am on Friday, 26th May, 2017.
Participants who would be clad in red and black with placards calling for investigation and prosecution of persons alleged to have been involved in corrupt acts in various reports especially, the Auditor General’s report, will then pass through the Farrisco Traffic Light through to TUC before arriving at the offices of EOCO.
Three petitioners would be allowed to present their written petition to EOCO.
