Ghana international, Kwadwo Asamoah could be €820,000 richer if his Juventus side manage to clinch the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid on Saturday.
It has been 21 years since Juventus last lifted the European Cup and for that reason, the president of the Turin club, Andrea Agnelli, will fork out a massive sum if his side are able to add a third European title to the two they won in 1984-5 and 1995-96.
The Bianconeri players have already received €470,000 in bonuses so far. Asamoah and his teammates earned €270,000 for reaching CL final, €150,000 for the Scudetto win & an additional €50,000 for the Coppa Italia triumph.
And to further increase the fillip of the team going into the Champions League final, a fee of €350,000 will be paid to each player should they manage to beat Real Madrid in Cardiff on Saturday night.
That is €50,000 more than the club offered the players to beat Barcelona in the 2015 final – a game they lost 3-1.
Agnelli has promised to fork out €9,000,000 to the 26 members of his squad should they emerge victorious from what is set to be an intriguing and exciting battle at the Cardiff Municipality stadium.
Juventus have already won the Scudetto and the Copa Italia and would really seal a special year under Max Allegri if they can beat Zidane’s side in Wales.
With the club to win the competition expected to pocket a cool €120 million, the payout isn’t likely to cause a problem for the club’s finances.
Last season, Real were awarded €700,000 each for their European conquest and €100,000 for winning at the Camp Nou in the late stages of their push for LaLiga.
