I’m happy for my national team call up – Rashid Sumaila

Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila says he is happy to be back in the Black Stars team since 2014.

Sumaila who is on holidays in Ghana ahead of the Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia visited the launch of the 3rd annual Sheik Shaributu Ramadan Cup at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra.

The Al Qadsia defender who has not been in the team since 2014 is back after impressing at his club side.

In an interview with Atinka TV the Al Qadsia defender shared his happiness to be part of the coach Kwasi Appiah’s squad.




“I am really happy to be back and I thank the technical handlers of the team, now is up to me to do my best,” Rashid told Atinka TV

“I will try and work hard so I stay in the team, the training has been good and everyone is happy.” He added

The Black Stars will continue their non-residential training this afternoon at the Accra Sports
