The MP for Ofoase-Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah has donated 1,500 mathematical sets to be distributed to all final year students in Junior High Schools in his constituency.
He donated the items as part of his education interventions in the constituency. The items he explained will be beneficial to the students as they prepare to take the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Mr Oppong -Nkrumah encouraged the students to study and prepare adequately to pass the examination as it is a stepping stone for the next phase of their lives. He also admonished students to refrain from examination malpractices and observe all examination rules.
He wished them success during the exam period and admonished them to be of good behaviour during and after the examination.
Receiving the items on behalf of the students, the District Director of Education for Akyemansa district, Mrs Elizabeth Korkor Amanor expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for the gesture even as they look forward to more of such support.
A total of 1,204 final year students across the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency benefited from this donation. The examination is set to begin countrywide from June 5 to 7, 2017.
