Military begs Cop over assault

The Military High Command has apologized over the assault of a police officer by some soldiers.
The soldiers reportedly beat the police officer to pulp and inflicted injuries on him at the Udarrra Barracks at Adum in the Ashanti region.
The Police officer, name withheld was using a thoroughfare at the barracks to the regional police command when he was stopped by the soldiers and asked to return.




The soldiers argued that, it was late for the police officer who was in uniform to be using the route but the officer ignored the caution and insisted on using the route.
Angered by the Police officer, the soldiers attacked and mercilessly beat him leading to the officer sustaining some injuries.
The soldiers also seized his car keys.
The military has met the police to apologize over the matter and return the seized keys.
The Military High Command has indicated that investigations will commence into the incident.
