NDC is the only God-fearing party – Solomon Nkansah

Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah believes the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), is the only God-fearing political party in the country.

“We are a God-fearing party so when anything happens we believe it is the work of God. We are not blaming anyone for our defeat but committing everything to God. We will sit down and re-strategize and see the way forward. We also respect Ghanaians so when things like this happen, we unearth the reasons that caused our defeat and work towards them in order to return to power”, he disclosed on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm.

According to him, the party will rely on the report from the Prof Kwasi Botchwey Committee tasked to investigate the cause of the defeat to determine its next line of action reiterating the fact that the respect the party has for Ghanaians coupled with deepening democracy is the reason the NDC has rescind to its fate in opposition. “We will take the necessary measures to see us back to power because Ghanaians have started complaining because they have realized that the NPP has not lived up to its promises. We are the blessed party in Ghana because we have two former presidents”, he added.

According to him, Ghanaians are already getting disappointed over the failed promises of the current government and believes the declaration by General Secretary of the NDC; Johnson Asiedu Nketia that the NPP would be handing over in 2020 is in the right direction.

“We shall come back to power in 2020 because John Mahama did a lot for the country and we have succeeded in seeing the difference between the two”, he emphasized.
