Captain Smart deserves Order of the Volta Award – NDC Man

Host of Adom FM’s Morning Show, Captain Kwadwo Smart deserves to be decorated with a national award for his fight against corruption in the country, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) organizer has said.

Japhet Baidoo speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Thursday said that the morning show host deserves to be celebrated because of his fight against corruption in the country.

“Captain Smart deserves order of the Volta Award in the country for his fight against corruption in the country…you have done well and everybody who performs such huge task in the country deserves to be commended with highest national awards…,” he said.

Captain Smart led thousands of Ghanaians from Accra and beyond to present a petition to the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) calling for investigation and prosecution of persons named in various reports especially the Auditor General’s report.

Captain Smart at the demonstration presented documents detailing acts of corruption by various public and civil servants and politicians to EOCO demanding their arrest.

The state agency promised to act on the reports submitted to it and information reaching Adomonline.com indicate that persons named in the report have started making appearances before the economic crimes agency.

Some of the named persons, the sources indicate have started paying back to the state amounts of money they unlawfully took from its coffers.

This feat, the Western Regional Organiser said is commendable and hence called on the state agencies to consider honouring the man who is on a mission to rid Ghana of corruption.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Acheampong, Eastern Regional Secretary of the NPP, Alhaji Omar Bodinga and MP for Wassa East, Isaac Adjei Mensah.

Contributing to the proposal, they all concluded that the radio operator was doing a good job for the country and deserved to be rewarded handsomely.
