Elmina Sharks have asked head coach Kobina Amissah to proceed on a two match leave after disappointing results in the Ghana Premier League.
The league debutants lie 12th on the league log and a point above relegation, a situation which has left owner Paa Kwesi Nduom worried..
Ndoum is keen to remain in the elite division and has asked the coach to proceed on leave with immediate in a bid to transform the fortunes.
“I met executive of the supporters’ union, coach and management team. I have also met with the entire playing body including the technical team and management and even with the coach alone,”
“I told them what I want but when you look at what is going on, it’s not the best. There are a lot of happening in the team. The attitudes of the players with the coach and the management and the supporters’ union is worrying,”
“They are a lot unpleasant news around the team so this has necessitated a change,”
“On Sunday, I have asked the best 11 be selected for the match against Hearts of Oak. With the current happenings I have asked Coach Amissah to go on a two game leave. Coach Amissah won’t lead the team against Hearts.”
