Lord Commey has our support – NPP organisers

Greater Accra Constituency Organisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have warned some faceless people within and outside the party to stop cooking up baseless allegations against the Director of Operations at the Presidency, Lord Commey.
According to them, Mr. Commey is a hard working official at the presidency, and that the brazen attempts by some disgruntled elements to malign him without any shred of evidence was ‘despicable and repugnant.’
They have warned that such shameful attempts will vehemently be resisted by members of the grassroots in the Greater Accra Region.
The group sounded the warning when they paid a courtesy call on him at the Flagstaff House on Friday.
The delegation, who were made up of organisers from the 29 out of the 34 constituencies in the Greater Accra Region, also appealed to the president and the government to let the various party organisers occupy the numerous NADMO positions across the country

Spokesman for the group, Kwabena Amoako, held the view that party activists were best suited for such jobs because they bring on board “a high level of expertise and experience in mobilisation for effective local governance work.”
“The ruling government will therefore benefit immensely from the expertise of experienced party activists if they are given the opportunity to serve in local governance positions across the country,” Mr. Amoako said.
According to him, this move will bridge the gap between the grassroots and government to avoid total neglect of party structures.
They also congratulated Mr. Commey on his appointment as the Director of Operations and urged him to continue working hard to shame his detractors.
The former national organiser of the party thanked party organisers for their support and assured them that the government will not let them down, adding that everything will be done by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to empower the grassroots politically and economically.
