Man Utd Transfer News LIVE updates: All the latest gossip from Old Trafford
Saturday July 1
13:25: Jose Mourinho will move for Joe Hart if David De Gea leaves for Real Madrid, reports claim.
De Gea’s future is now once again uncertain, having moved out of his luxury Cheshire mansion.
And according to The Sun, Madrid are reviving their interest in a deal worth up to £60million.
Should the 26-year-old Spain international seal a move to the Bernabeu, Mourinho has made it clear to Hart’s camp he is the one he wants to fill De Gea’s shoes.
The Portuguese will attempt to raid Manchester City if De Gea goes, with Hart keen to kickstart his Premier League career.
12:40: Inter Milan are considering an audacious swoop for Manchester United right-back Matteo Darmian.
The Red Devils looked to have missed out on Croatia international Ivan Perisic after reports emerged that he was close to signing a lucrative new contract.
But Italian transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio claims Inter want Darmian at the San Siro and are prepared to use Perisic as bait.

10:30: Phil Neville says Jose Mourinho is strengthening the Manchester United squad for a tilt at the Premier League title.
“It’s going to be a difficult season, as everyone else is spending money and improving,” he told MUTV.
“United are going to have to improve as well because they didn’t finish in the top four last season.
“Even that is a big ask, but I think Jose will want to win the Premier League. That’s the big one. He won’t settle for anything less. Now we’re looking to see who Jose signs because, if you look at the top six clubs, I think they will all strengthen.
“United have to strengthen and it’ll be interesting to see which team strengthens the most. If you look at the drawn games at Old Trafford last season and convert maybe 90 per cent of those into wins, then United would have been challenging for the title. If they can do that this year, then I think the title will come back to Manchester.”
09:00: Marquinhos has signed a new three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian, who has been linked to Manchester United and Barcelona, will now remain with them to 30 June 2022.
He said: “I have always said I’m happy to play for Paris Saint-Germain, and this contract extension is further proof of my commitment to the Club.
“I feel very good at this club and with this group of players whom I am with every day. I have found here the perfect place to flourish and hope to win many more trophies. Over the last four years, I have been able to guage the progress made at Paris Saint-Germain, which has notably enabled me to get into the national team. I’m really looking forward to starting pre-season ahead of a new campaign with my team-mates and to give the best of myself so that our team continues to make our fans proud in the coming months.”
08:00: Manchester United are ready to reignite their interest in Bayern Munich star Renato Sanches.
United were interested in the 19-year-old last summer but he opted to join the Germans.
But after just 17 appearances, according to Calciomercato.com, Sanches has told Bayern he wants to leave the club for regular football.
07:00: Manchester United may use Matteo Darmian in a player plus cash deal for Ivan Perisic.
Italian transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio claims Inter Milan are for United to make an offer for Perisic before making an enquiry for the right back.
05:45: Manchester United made a bid for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Paul Marriner.
“My mate is now the sporting director at Everton,” Marriner said on ESPN. “I had a good chat with him and they’re going to spend a lot of money this summer.
“They feel as if it’s time they broke into that top four, it’s a big ask but that’s what Ronald Koeman and the staff want to do.
“They’ve had bids for Lukaku, mainly from Manchester United and Chelsea. It’s a lot of money, I personally wouldn’t be paying that sort of money. They think they can hold out for it but they’ve already added to the squad.
“It’s going to be very, very interesting to see if they improve and I think they will improve.”
03:30: Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic.
That is according to Spanish outlet Diario Madrista, who claim the Manchester United boss has told club chiefs to sign the Croatia international.
It is said United are willing to double the midfielder’s current wages in a bid to convince him to leave the Bernabeu.
But Zinedine Zidane has no interest in selling Kovacic, who is contracted to the club until the summer of 2021.
The report adds Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in securing his signature.
00:35: Jose Mourinho is growing frustrated with Manchester United’s lack of transfer activity.
Victor Lindelof is the only player United have signed so far this summer with the centre-back joining from Benfica in a £39.6million deal.
Mourinho wanted to get his transfer business done early after earmarking Alvaro Morata, Ivan Perisic and Nemanja Matic as his other top targets.
But with pre-season training just one week away, The Sun say ‘The Special One’ is angry with the lack of progress the club is making in getting deals over the line for the trio.
He apparently wanted all four on the plane in eight days time for their training camp in LA.
However, it looks unlikely with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward finding it difficult to secure their signatures due to barriers with the players’ clubs.

22:00: Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dropped a major hint he won’t be re-signing for Manchester United when he recovers from injury.
The Red Devils have taken up the option to not extend the striker’s deal, despite his impressive goal tally in his first season of Premier League football.
Ibrahimovic is yet to commit his future to another team as he fights his way back from a knee problem.
A return to action is expected later this year or in early 2018, but playing in a United shirt again appears off the cards.
He posted a picture on Instagram of him celebrating a goal for United and captioned it: “I came. I said. I conquered.”
20:00: Ivan Perisic has reportedly told his agent to seal a move to Manchester United.
Inter Milan look set to meet Financial Fair Play regulations, which means they won’t have to sell Perisic this summer.
However, according to Goal, the 28-year-old winger could still force a move to Old Trafford.
It is said Perisic has told his agent Fali Ramadani to take an aggressive approach in helping him leave Inter this summer.
That will leave United in a strong position when it comes to bargaining a transfer fee.
18:26: Alvaro Morata has been urged not to join Manchester United by his former Spain boss Vicente del Bosque.
Del Bosque thinks it’s the wrong move for both the striker and Real Madrid.
He said: “These are decisions for the players.
“If I were the Real Madrid coach I would like him to stay.
“He is a senior Spain international and Madrid should never let go the best players.”
18:00: Juventus are set to accelerate their approach for Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, according to Tuttosport.
The Serie A giants have been impressed with Darmian’s recent performances for Italy.
But United are holding firm on their £22m price-tag, and Juventus also face competition from Inter Milan.
Max Allegri’s side have tabled an offer to United which would see Darmian signed on loan with an obligation to buy for £19m.
No agreement has been reached yet, but Juventus are pursuing a deal having lost Dani Alves.
16:50: Jose Mourinho wants to make a £15m move for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, reports claim.
The young Scotland star has long been tracked by Manchester United.
And according to the Mirror, Mourinho wants a new left-back with Luke Shaw’s future still uncertain at Old Trafford.
Celtic want Tierney, 20, to stay for at least another year, but United’s interest will make it difficult to keep him.
16:30: Manchester United target Fabinho has reportedly agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain.
Jose Mourinho was continuing to pursue the versatile Monaco star as a potential option at right-back.
United are close to adding Nemanja Matic from Chelsea in midfield, but Fabinho is also wanted.
However, they may have to accept missing out on the Brazilian, as Canal Plus claim he has reached an agreement with PSG.
Monaco, though, have not received any formal bids for Fabinho yet, be it United or PSG.
16:10: Alvaro Morata has told friends a move to Manchester United is done.
Express Sport understands his mind is all made up and talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez this week have helped speed up a deal.
Madrid will lower their £70m asking price and look to compromise with United, who value the striker at £60m.
Morata ended his honeymoon early to hold talks with Perez, but has now been pictured back in Ibiza with his wife.
