Real Madrid star James Rodriguez’s move to Man Utd is getting closer – report

REAL MADRID star James Rodriguez is edging closer towards a move to Manchester United, according to reports in Spain.
Manchester United are on the lookout for attacking talent amid reports several first-team stars face uncertain futures.

They have already let Zlatan Ibrahimovic go, with the 35-year-old unlikely to return even if he regains fitness in the coming months.

Wayne Rooney could be next, with Everton nearing a deal to re-sign the striker, while wingers Anthony Martial and Ashley Young have also been linked with moves way.

Express Sport understands United are continuing to thrash out a deal with Real Madrid for Alvaro Morata.
But Spanish outlet Diario Gol say Rodriguez could be about to join him at Old Trafford.

Previous reports have tallied with their claims that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is pushing him towards a move to England.

In the past, it has been said that Rodriguez would love to join United and play under Jose Mourinho, having grown frustrated with a lack of game time at Real.

But they now add that the 25-year-old is closing in on a move to United with talks between the player and club going well.
Zinedine Zidane wants a transfer done quickly as he is unwilling to give Rodriguez another chance to save his Real Madrid career.

Big things were expected of the Colombia star when he arrived from Monaco after the 2014 World Cup.

His six goals for his country were enough for Real to splurge a huge fee on him, just one year after he had moved to Monaco from Primeira Liga giants Porto.

But, despite winning seven major trophies in three years at the Bernabeu, his move has backfired and an exit looks inevitable.
