ALVARO MORATA is reportedly ‘upset’ after his proposed move to Manchester United took a major twist.
Morata had agreed personal terms with Manchester United and confidently told friends he was on the way to Old Trafford.
But United and Real Madrid have been unable to agree a fee for the striker, with the Spanish side wanting £79million.
And United have moved on quickly to agree a deal with Everton to sign Romelu Lukaku for £75m.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Morata was desperate to join United and is at the moment upset with the current situation.
It is claimed Madrid will not drop their price tag for Morata and any clubs looking to sign him will have to meet their demands.
But despite Morata’s disappointment, it’s claimed the 24-year-old is prepared to stay at Madrid if he is not able to leave.
Morata is expected to return to Madrid on Monday for pre-season when they play United, Manchester City, Barcelona and an MLS All-Stars XI.
