ROMELU LUKAKU is reportedly close to signing for Manchester United, but how could the Everton ace fit into the starting XI if Jose Mourinho bags all his transfer targets?
Everton ace Lukaku has emerged as Mourinho’s main priority during the summer window, with United reportedly agreeing a £75million fee for the Belgian international
Record Manchester United goalscorer Wayne Rooney is expected to head in the opposite direction, with the 31-year-old returning to Goodison Park as part of a swap deal.
Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata had been United’s No.1 target and could still make the switch to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils looking for strength in depth up front.
Meanwhile Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic has reportedly agreed personal terms on a £6.2m-a-year contract, and is likely to come straight into United’s starting XI once a deal is finalised.
Mourinho has already snapped up Victor Lindelof for £30m from Benfica, but is said to be frustrated at his club’s lack of success in the transfer market so far.
However, with several targets lined up the Red Devils starting XI could look very different compared to the 2016/17 campaign.
