Kennedy Agyapong has confirmed that NDC won 2016 elections – Akamba

Joshua Akamba, a Deputy National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says, he has been vindicated after the Assin-Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong, threatened to expose how the party won the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Mr. Akamba, in January this year, granted an interview on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm where he denied that the NDC lost the polls.

The fierce critic of the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, told Kwame Tutu on January 4, 2017 that, available information in custody of the NDC disputed their massive defeat.

He however on that day ruled out any legal action as the NPP did in 2012.

Speaking in an interview today [Monday] with Kwame Tutu on Frontline on Rainbow Radio, Mr. Akamba expressed joy at the recent outburst of Kennedy Agyapong because ‘’I feel vindicated’’ and I am happy for what he [Kennedy] has said.

He told the host how he was verbally assaulted by his own party members and NPP officials for making such claims-but today; Kennedy Agyapong has threatened to expose how the NPP won the elections, if they sack Mr. Alfred Obeng, the BOST MD over the contaminated fuel saga.

‘’I remember I told you on this same station that the NPP did not win the polls fairly. After granting that interview, I was assaulted verbally by my own party members for what I said.

Today, the legislator has confirmed my comments on January 4, 2017. He [Kennedy] said the NPP did not win the 2016 polls fairly. Kennedy Agyapong has said it; nobody should dare him or he will expose them and do you think the NPP will like it?

‘’The NPP should dare him if there are men in the NPP…They dare not or he will expose them on how unfairly they won the elections. I said this some months ago.

I believe that the NPP did not win the elections fairly. I travelled across the length and breadth of this country during the campaign season and I can tell you the NPP was a dead party; and so the sudden victory was something between them and their God. But today, Kennedy Agyapong has confirmed it.

It is coming from an inner person in the NPP. They should challenge him and see what happens.’’
