Tottenham want Monaco defender Kamil Glik: Deal will not be straightforward – report

TOTTENHAM are showing interest in Monaco defender Kamil Glik, according to reports in France.
Tottenham have had a quiet transfer window so far this summer and are yet to bring in a single player.
Much of the rumours have centred around Spurs players leaving, with defensive duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose both linked with moves away.

However, French newspaper L’Equipe claim the north London club have been showing interest in Monaco centre-half Kamil Glik.

The report says they are yet to make a formal offer but Mauricio Pochettino is an admirer of the Poland international.
Monaco’s side which won the Ligue 1 title last term is being pulled apart, with Bernando Silva having already joined Manchester City.

Midfield trio Thomas Lemar, Fabinho and Tiemoue Bakayoko are all being linked with moves to the Premier League.

And star striker Kylian Mbappe is reportedly one of Real Madrid’s top transfer targets this summer.

As a result, the French champions will need some serious convincing if they are to part ways with Glik.
And L’Equipe claim a hefty offer will be needed if Tottenahm are to get a deal over the line.

Spurs are reportedly not the only Premier League side tracking the 29-year-old with a number of unnamed clubs also in the running.

Glik was an influential player for Monaco last term, making 54 appearances in all competitions and scoring an impressive seven goals.

He is under contract with the Lige 1 champions until June 2020.
