Alvaro Morata ‘dyed his hair’ red for Man Utd unveiling before move collapsed – reports

ALVARO MORATA appears to have dyed his hair red before shaving it off following the collapse of his move to Manchester United.
Pictures emerged of Morata in training with his Real Madrid team-mates with a buzz cut, but still remnants of red hair dye.

And Spanish publication Marca suggest he may have been preparing something special for his unveiling with Manchester United.

Morata was expected to join United to become the new spearhead of Jose Mourinho’s side following the release of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

But United grew tired of negotiating a fee with Madrid and instead swooped for Romelu Lukaku, beating Chelsea to his signature with a £75m move.
Lukaku teamed up with United in LA this week having been on holiday with Paul Pogba.

And the move for Morata was dumped. He is now on Chelsea’s radar but may stay put at the Bernabeu.




Madrid are currently also in LA and will play United in Santa Clara on July 23, before meeting again in the Super Cup next month.

Those games may be heated after it emerged the club were ‘at war’ over the training facilities at the UCLA campus.
Organisers of the ICC tournament have been left stunned that two of the biggest clubs in world football are at each other’s throats.

The situation has been described as ‘embarrassing’ as the clubs look to gain an advantage in their preparations.

But the fall-out comes as no surprise considering the ill-feeling that exists between the rivals, and guarantees a poisonous atmosphere when Mourinho comes up against his former club in 10 days.
