NPP’s achievements will be rewarded again in 2020 elections- Abu Jinapor

A Deputy Chief of Staff Samuel Abu Jinapor has given the strongest indication the New Patriotic Party will beat the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 elections in the Damongo Constituency in the Northern region.
According to him, since 2004 the NPP has made significant gains, climbing steadily from a 34.25 percent in 2004 to 42.25 percent of votes in 2016 elections.
Addressing party faithful at the Damongo Annual Delegates Conference in Damongo in the Northern Region, Mr. Jinapor said the NPP, will in the coming years, be a party of choice for the people in the area.
He said the NPP is a development oriented party that does not discriminate, citing the tractor services programme they are offering the people in the area, drilling of boreholes among others in the constituency.
He said they are working hard to ensure that more NDC members defect to the NPP.
“We are looking for a every member of the NDC in the constituency to join our party even if the sitting member of parliament who is an NDC comes to join our party we will receive him whole heartedly” he said.
The Northern Regional Minister Salifu Saeed outlined some of government’s policies they intend to rollout as the years go by. He called on the people to exercise patience whilst government laces its boots to begin work.
Mr Saeed appealed to the MMDCEs in the region to restrain from backing any of the candidates who will be contesting in the upcoming party elections.

The District Chief Executive of the area Saeed Muhazu Jibril called for unity among the people if they want to win power in the next elections. He said with unity they would be able to work together for the development of the area.
Mr Muhazu commended the Samuel Abu Jinapor for supporting the district with a vehicle for primary health care delivery.
Northern Regional Chairman of the party Daniel Bugri Nabu said the NDC had looted the coffers of the state leaving an empty purse and called on all to support the government fine its feet and begin work.
He alleged that the NDC had threatened to destabilise the NPP in the region and assured that they will match the NDC boot for boot.
Mr. Nabu commended the constituency executives for the effort they pushed into the 2016 elections.
He said he was aware of the jostling among party members for positions in the upcoming internal elections but assured the current executives that hard work pays and so he believes the people would retain them.
