JUVENTUS have reached an agreement with Arsenal to sign Wojciech Szczesny.
Szczesny lost his place in the Arsenal team after he was caught smoking in the showers after their loss to Southampton in January 2015.
Though he apologised for his actions, the Poland international was unable regain Arsene Wenger’s trust and spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma.
The 27-year-old soon established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A.
And he is now set to become the heir to Gianluigi Buffon’s throne at Italian champions Juventus.
The Italy legend is set to retire at the end of the upcoming season and Szczesny now appears best placed to replace him.
Sky Sport Italia say Arsenal and Juventus have agreed a £10.5million deal.
The report says Juventus have been trying to get the deal done for the past month and the final details will be completed this evening.
Juventus are aiming to bring Szczesny in before they depart for their tour of the United States.
