Jurgen Klopp aims dig at Jose Mourinho over Mohamed Salah: What didn’t you see in him?

JURGEN KLOPP has questioned the judgment of Jose Mourinho after the former Chelsea manager let Mohamed Salah slip from his grasp.
Mourinho signed Salah from Basel in 2014 when he was in charge at Chelsea but the £11million capture failed to shine at the Blues as he made just 19 appearances before being shipped out on loan to Fiorentina and Roma by the current Manchester United boss.

The Egypt international then moved to Roma on a permanent basis last year in a £12m deal before Liverpool swooped to make him their club-record signing for £39m.

Klopp said: “We played against him [Salah] when he was at Basel and we didn’t know him.

“We played with Dortmund against him and it was ‘what the f***’. It was unbelievable.
“The question is ‘what did you not see in him?’ because he played all-inclusive football.

“He was quick, he played a lot of games, he create goals, chances, he scored by himself. He was involved in pretty much everything for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.

“He is a left footed player and we don’t have too many of them in the team. It all makes him really valuable for us.
“A lot of players have shown it is quite easy to struggle at Chelsea, Kevin De Bruyne is one.

“The only thing that we really ignored [when looking at Salah] was what he did at Chelsea.”

Salah kicked off his Liverpool career last week with a goal in the pre-season 1-1 draw against Wigan.
