Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has secret agreement to join Man Utd next summer – report

REAL MADRID star Gareth Bale has a secret agreement with Manchester United regarding a move to Old Trafford next season, according to reports.
Manchester United’s interest in Bale dates back to the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Scot was hellbent on snapping him up when the player was a starlet in the Southampton academy, but ultimately lost out to Martin Jol’s Tottenham.

Ferguson rued the mistake and his successor, David Moyes, also failed to bring him to Manchester.

Moyes was convinced he would beat Real Madrid upon taking the reins four years ago but, despite offering more than their European rivals, Manchester United again failed to tie the Wales international down.

Bale has helped Real win eight major trophies during his four years in Spain, but his constant injuries have again led to talk he could be set for a Premier League return.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the forward has a secret agreement with United.

It is said he wants to play at the Bernabeu for one more year and, if his injuries fail to subside and he continues to remain behind the likes of Isco in the pecking order, he will finally join the Red Devils.

The arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco would also accelerate a transfer away, with the Monaco star Madrid’s No1 transfer target for the summer.

Madrid also feel they can secure a £90million fee for the Wales star – £10m more than what they paid Tottenham for him in 2013.
Speaking earlier this week, Bale did his best to dampen any talk of a return to Britain by insisting he had not received an offer from Jose Mourinho’s side.

“The truth is that I do not read any of that. Logically I am a British player and I am always linked with a return home,” he told Marca when asked about United’s interest.

“It happened with Beckham, with other Englishmen who came to Spain. Nothing new.

“I am happy playing in Madrid, logically interest is interest, but if there has been nothing concrete, no offer, there is nothing to discuss.”
