Man Utd striker Lukaku is a better signing than Morata and Lacazette – Pallister

ROMELU LUKAKU is a better signing for Manchester United than Alvaro Morata to Chelsea and Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal, according to Gary Pallister.
There has been no shortage of transfers in the Premier League this summer with a number of the top teams spending big money on strikers.
Arsenal have broken their transfer record to bring in Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for in excess of £50million.

While Manchester United and Chelsea have spent a combined £145m on Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata to bolster their front lines.

However, despite the comparable transfer fees, Gary Pallister thinks the Red Devils have done the best business by nabbing Lukaku.
When asked who was the best acquisition out of the three, Pallister told 888sport: “I’m going to say Lukaku because he is proven in the Premier League.

“The other guys come over to the Premier League and the pace and power is different but Lukaku has done it regularly for West Brom and Everton.

“He is a proven Premier League goalscorer and I think that’s why Jose [Mourinho] gave up on Morata.

“Lukaku is very bullish, brash and quick. He’ll mess defenders about.”
The Belgium international bagged 25 Premier League goals for Everton last term, taking his tally to 104 in the last five seasons.

However, he has admitted he is not resting on his laurels and wants to reach the same heights as Robert Lewandowski and United hero Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I can’t say I’m in my prime. There is a lot of work to be done and I’m delighted that there is still work to be done,” Lukaku said.

“I’m far from the level of Ronaldo and Lewandowski. That’s the level I want to aim for. How do I reach that level? Keep improving. There is always room to improve.”
