I asked God to take my life – Veteran actor Kwaku Twumasi

Popular actor and veteran in the arts and entertainment industry, Kwaku Twumasi who was hit by mild stroke has revealed in an interview that at a point in his life he asked God to take his life because he didn’t want to be a burden on his family.

The actor and director who was bedridden for over four years has been absent from the movie scene due to the illness narrated his ordeal to Papa Kumasi

He was asked how his family treated him when he was sick and he said:




“I would say that they are more caring now. Something happened that made me resolve to live because I didn’t want to be a burden on them. But my son who was three years old then would always come to my bedside, hold my hand and pray for me, I was marveled, so I said I will not go now and leave my children”

The actor said even church people wondered what sin he had committed to merit such sickness.

He said until now he doesn’t even know how the sickness came to affect him and looking at how he suffered he prays no one goes through what he has gone through.

Kwaku Twumasi said he doesn’t see himself sick anymore and will be coming out with great movies soon.
