MUSIGA visits Paapa Yankson’s family

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) paid a visit to the house of highlife legend, Paapa Yankson who kicked the bucket on Friday in his house at Dansoman in Accra.

The visit was to express their condolences to the family for their loss and to also assure the family of their support after the death of the highlife great.




Officials present at this meeting included Alhaji Sidiku Buari (former MUSIGA president), Bessa Simon (1st vice Chairman, GHAMRO), Ahuma Ocansey Bosco (Dir. Of Communication and special projects, MUSIGA), Rev Fiifi Khan (Administrator, MUSIGA), Ras Caleb Adjetey (Greater Accra Chairman MUSIGA), Alex Odoi (Welfare Chairman, MUSIGA), Rev. Ghansah and Mr. Henry Paa Kwasi Smith (Scratch studios).

During the visit, the family disclosed that his one week after will be observed on August 4 after which other funeral arrangements will be disclosed to the public.

Paapa Yankson will be remembered for songs like ‘Yaaba’, ‘Show your love’,’Abaayi’,’Tenamenkyen’, ‘wo yeri anaa wo maame’.
