MANCHESTER UNITED are aiming to wrap up transfer deals ahead of the new Premier League season and Express Sport is here to take you through all the updates and gossip.
Dendoncker available for £20m
08:00: Anderlecht will sell Leander Dendoncker if a £20million offer is submitted, according to sporting director Herman Van Holsbeeck.
The Belgium international has been linked with Everton and Manchester United.
And the Premier League duo could find themselves in a bidding war after Van Holsbeeck’s latest comments.
He said: “We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay between €25million and €35m, we have a problem.
“Against Man United in the Europa League, he has shown twice that he has the potential to play at a top European club.”
Everton value Barkley at £35m
07:15: The Daily Mail reports that Everton are prepared to hold out for £35million for England midfielder Ross Barkley, despite the 23-year-old only having a year remaining on his contract.
And the Daily Mirror reports that he will need to lower his wage demands from £120,000 a week in order to join Tottenham, who will not match the offer put to him by the Toffees.
Manchester United and Arsenal have also been linked with his services.
Serge Aurier agrees move
06:45: Manchester United are close to signing PSG defender Serge Aurier, according to website Paris United.
The Ivory Coast international has been regularly linked with a move to Old Trafford.
And he has now supposedly agreed personal terms with Jose Mourinho’s side.
However, whether or not the deal goes ahead may boil down to his court date next month. He is currently banned from entering the UK for punching a French police officer last year.
Aurier has since appealed the conviction and, because the case is ongoing, a hearing scheduled for August 7 is key to whether or not his travel restrictions have been lifted.
Paris United add that Aurier is free to negotiate with other clubs until the situation is resolved.
Second Chelsea swoop…
06:30: Manchester United sent scouts to watch Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham in action over the weekend.
Abraham will spend next season on loan at Swansea.
And All Nigeria Soccer claim the Red Devils sent Stephen McCarthy to watch Abraham against Birmingham.
The 19-year-old impressed, scoring in a 2-0 win over Harry Redknapp’s team.
