MANCHESTER CITY are considering offering Sergio Aguero to Arsenal in a bid to convince them to sell Alexis Sanchez.
The Arsenal forward’s future remains uncertain in north London with his contract expiring at the end of next season.
Arsene Wenger is adamant he won’t be sold but that has not put City off trying to prise him away.
Guardiola has spent over £130million on signings already this summer but is prepared to break the bank once more to land his top target and strengthen his attacking options.
With Guardiola desperate to sign Sanchez, Aguero’s future has been left in doubt at the Etihad
Gabriel Jesus is also expected to lead the line this season, meaning Aguero could earn less playing time.
And the Gambling Times claim City are prepared to offload Aguero to the Gunners in order to finally sign Sanchez.
They say City’s hierarchy would prefer to keep hold of the Argentine but fear he could become unhappy with his role in the upcoming campaign.
City don’t have a problem with selling Aguero to Arsenal as they don’t consider them as realistic title contenders.
The report adds Arsenal would have no problem meeting the 29-year-old’s wage demands.
Last season Aguero scored 20 goals and provided three assists in the league, while Sanchez netted 24 times and managed 10 assists.
