Gareth Bale posts video just hours before Real Madrid’s Super Cup clash with Man Utd

Jose Mourinho has opened the door to a stunning move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale before the transfer window shuts at 11pm on August 31.

Zinedine Zidane did not strongly commit to Bale when he was asked about Mourinho’s comments.

Bale’s future at the Bernabeu is in doubt as Real look to bring in Monaco’s £160million wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.

And while Mourinho and Zidane discuss the Wales ace, Bale doesn’t appear to be taking much notice.

Last night after Mourinho confirmed he would look to sign the 28-year-old if he didn’t feature for Real in the Super Cup against United tonight (7.45pm), Bale took to social media.

On his Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts Bale posted a picture alongside Cristiano Ronaldo in training with the message: “Super Cup time #HalaMadrid”.

And today Bale posted a video of himself taking on BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey at an electronic boxing punchbag.

Bale won both rounds against Humphrey and looked like he was enjoying the victory, writing: “The @btsport #HardestHits..Round One…. @mrjakehumphrey sorry!”

Bale is sponsored by BT Sport and often tweets about their campaigns.

He also has current deals with Adidas, EA Sports and Lucozade.

Bale has insisted he wants to remain at the Bernabeu with one of his agents apparently rubbishing the move today.

But Jose Mourinho thinks otherwise, saying yesterday: “Well if he’s playing tomorrow I wouldn’t think of signing him.

If he’s playing tomorrow it’s because he’s in the coach’s and club’s plans and because he has that motivation to continue at Real Madrid.

“If he’s not in the club’s plans and what you are telling me is true, that the arrival of another player would mean Gareth would be on his way out of Real Madrid, then I would try to be waiting for him on the other side and be fighting with the other coaches who would like to have him on their team.”

When Mourinho’s remarks were put to Zidane he refused to give Bale any long-term assurances, saying: “Bale is a Real Madrid player, that’s all I can say. I want to talk about tomorrow’s match.

“We are here, him, me and all the other players and the fans are here for the match only. That other stuff doesn’t interest me very much.

“At the end of last season it wasn’t easy for him. He was out for four months but now he is very concentrated. ”

Real skipper Sergio Ramos added: “At the moment Gareth Bale is a player of Real Madrid, we are delighted to have him on board. The month of August is very long and anything can happen.”
