Yvonne Okoro reveals why she wouldn’t date a celebrity

Unlike many who would want to flaunt their partners on social media or better still date celebrities, Yvonne Okoro, a Ghanaian actress of Ghanaian and Nigerian descent prefers to keep her love life on low key.

The multi award winning Ghanaian and now TV host in a recent interview with Amanda Jissih revealed why she would not love to date a showbiz personality.

Although in a relationship already, the Rebecca star explained celebrities are easily slammed when their relationships do not work since people know exactly who they date and their activities are always in the public domain.




“…If you date even three or four men and hey, she’s a whore. In that respect, I will rather take it outside. Let me spoil myself outside and not in the industry so that somebody cannot sit back and say that she’s dated 1 2 3 4.. At the end of the day, if your realize it’s not like there are 1000’s of virgins walking around. Other women or ladies are dating other people but they are not slam shammed but once you do it in the same industry that you are in then you are slam shammed”

Again, the actress maintains it is a very difficult to maintain a relationship with a showbiz personality since she is a very a jealous lover and wouldn’t want to see other ladies come around her man.

“I am a very jealous lover when I’m in love. It’s very difficult to be in an industry to keep your things under wraps… To have a guy you can trust cos you know the women are flocking around them.”
