Diego Costa set for Chelsea return this week after club hit striker with £300k fine

CHELSEA expect Diego Costa to return to the club after going awol in Brazil.
Chelsea have fined Diego Costa two weeks’ wages for failing to return to pre-season training with the rest of the squad last month.

The striker is currently his his hometown in Brazil and is furious with the club for preventing his return to Atletico Madrid.




However, the Stamford Bridge clubs’ sanctions seems to have had the desired effect and Costa is now expected back in London this week.

Sky Sports claim the 28-year-old will report for training and will comply with his current contract which runs until June 2019.
