Barcelona will sign Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele this week – claims in Spain

BARCELONA will sign Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele in a stunning £200million-plus double deal in the next few days, it has sensationally been claimed today.
Barcelona have £200m burning a hole in their pocket following Neymar’s shock move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Spanish giants have landed Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande for £36.5m.

And Spanish newspaper Sport say Barca will follow up that signing by completing deals for Liverpool star Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund ace Dembele in the next few days.

Barcelona are smarting from their 2-1 Spanish Super Cup defeat to El Clasico rivals Real Madrid on Sunday night.

And the Nou Camp club hope to appease their fans by adding Coutinho and Dembele to their squad to help fill the void of Neymar.
Barcelona have only signed Nelson Semedo and Gerard Deulofeu this summer, although Paulinho is poised to finalise his transfer.

Coutinho has handed in a transfer request at Liverpool and is determined to take his chance to join Barcelona.

The 25-year-old has been left out of Jurgen Klopp’s squad to face Hoffenheim in the Champions League tonight (7.45pm).

And while Liverpool’s owners Fenway Sports Group and Klopp have long maintained the Brazilian is not for sale Barca are closing in.

Sport say Coutinho will cost £91m (€100m) up front with further payment in add-ons to be negotiated.
And AWOL Dortmund wonderkid Dembele is expected to join Coutinho in Spain, after being suspended for not turning up for training.

Sport say he will cost £91m (€100m) too but Barca trying to negotiate Dortmund down from their demand of an extra £27.2m (€30m) in add-ons.

Barca are reluctant to pay such a hefty fee for the 20-year-old who has spent just one season at Dortmund following his move from Rennes.

But given their drastic need for signings they are poised to announce Coutinho and Dembele in the coming days in addition to their signing of Paulinho.
