Juventus to make £22.5m bid for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini

JUVENTUS are preparing a shock £22.5million bid for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to reports.
Juventus have had a disappointing transfer window, losing key defensive duo Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves to AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.

The Serie A champions also suffered a shock 3-2 defeat to Lazio in the Italian Super Cup last weekend which has prompted Massimiliano Allegri to demand new signings.

And The Sun claim top of Allegri’s wishlist is PSG man Blaise Matuidi and Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Juve boss is reportedly keen to strengthen in midfield, where Allegri wants tough and commanding players after losing Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal over the last two summers.
The report says Juve are willing to pay £22.5m for Belgium international Fellaini.

However, they face a tough challenge trying to convince Jose Mourinho to part company with the former Everton man after he shut down Galatasaray’s hopes last month.

“It is easier for Galatasaray to get me than Marouane,” the United boss said.

“Marouane? Forget it. He’s very important for me.”
The Sun claim Juve are hoping Mourinho will be more open to selling Fellaini following the arrival of Nemanja Matic at Old Trafford.

Allegri reportedly sees the Belgian as the ideal partner for Miralem Pjanic in the heart of midfield and should they also sign Matuidi, he could form a strong defensive unit alongside the France international.

Fellaini is yet to start a game for United this season and was largely used as an impact sub by Mourinho last term.

He made 47 appearances in all competitions last campaign and is under contract with the Red Devils until June 2018.
