CHELSEA striker Diego Costa will head to Spain to force through a move to Atletico Madrid.
Costa has remained in his native Brazil and visited his former club Sergipana Federation yesterday.
The striker has been fined £300,000 by Chelsea for failing to turn up to pre-season training as scheduled.
Chelsea want to sell Costa and have already signed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid in a £70million deal to replace the forward.
The Blues are keen to get a deal done this summer, although Costa has no intention of moving anywhere bar Atletico.
Unfortunately for Costa, Atletico cannot play newly-signed players until January due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
Brazilian newspaper Globoesporte report that Costa met with Sergipana Federation president Milton Dantas during his visit yesterday.
Costa has reiterated his desire to leave Chelsea and return to Atletico, who sold him to the west London club three years ago.
