2018 WC Qualifier: Egypt’s coach wary of Uganda defence

Ghana’s World Cup qualifier opponents; Egypt and Uganda will clash on August 31 but Coach Hector Cuper has heaped praise on Uganda Cranes defence ahead of their encounter.
The Argentine whose side won 1-0 in the last minutes at the Afcon finals in Gabon early this year however says his technical team has taken notice on how Uganda play.
“We studied the Uganda team well and we know how to face them in the two-leg game.I am worried about the late arrival of the foreign-based players, only three days before the game, as Uganda is a tough team and they have a brilliant left-back as well as a good defence,” he told the local press.

Cuper’s team visit the Cranes on August 31 and host the return match five days later in Alexandria with a prize on topping the group waiting to gain a ticket to the FIFA 2018 World Cup finals.
“I am confident of the players’ ability to overcome Uganda as well as easing the way to the World Cup finals,” he added.
The Pharaohs who last qualified for the World Cup in 1990 still have Ghana and Congo Brazzaville to contend with but the ex-Inter Milan tactician’s mind is only on Uganda at the moment.
“We are concentrating now on the Uganda game and I am not thinking of any other game in the qualifiers. We are preparing well for the upcoming Uganda game as it will be crucial game in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.”
Uganda Cranes are second in the group with 4 points, two behind Egypt after two games.
