Man Utd transfer news: Odds slashed on Gareth Bale making £92m move from Real Madrid

GARETH BALE’s move to Manchester United has been backed by the bookmakers.
Reports this weekend suggested Manchester United were looking to make a huge move for Bale.

Don Balon claimed United had submitted an offer worth £92m for the Wales star.

And today it has been reported Real Madrid are losing patience with Bale and misfiring team-mate Karim Benzema.

And Ladbrokes have reacted to the story by slashing the odds on a Bale switch to Old Trafford to 4/1 from 10/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’re strapping ourselves in for a hectic few days before the transfer window slams shut and it looks as though Mourinho isn’t quite finished in the market.”

Jose Mourinho’s side have signed three new players and brought Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in on a one-year deal.

But the Portuguese was keen to bring a winger to Old Trafford and made an effort to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.

And Bale could now be an option after his slow start to the season with Madrid.
Mourinho rolled out the carpet for Bale ahead of the Super Cup final but appeared to lose hope when he featured for Madrid.

The United boss said he would be ready to make a move if he wasn’t part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans, only to find him named in the starting XI.

But he struggled yesterday as Real recorded a 2-2 draw with Valencia and Florentino Perez is said to be running out of patience with him.

Perez is considering late moves in the transfer window with Paulo Dybala, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Harry Kane on his radar.
