‘Nana Addo and the NPP cannot collapse Ibrahim Mahama’s business’ – Aide

With the recent troubles faced by Ibrahim Mahama, the brother of former president John Mahama, many Ghanaians have suggested that the New Patriotic Party government and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo were specially targeting the businessman.

However, the aide to the Chief Executive Officer of Engineers and Planners has stated that such a plan would not see the light of day.

Rafiq Mahama, who was speaking on the Accra-based radio station, Okay FM, made it known that business mogul, Ibrahim Mahama’s ventures are well-established across Africa and thus any attempt by the NPP government to collapse them would not be fruitful.




“Some utterances of some government officials shows that they have some hatred for the man who has genuinely started his business and employed so many Ghanaians,” he told the show host.

These comments by the aide follow reports that Exton Cubic and E&P, two ventures of Ibrahim Mahama, were involved in some illegal mining.

Exton Cubic Group Limited has, however, vehemently denied these reports of scheming with E&P to engage in illegal mining, also known as “galamsey, at the Nyinahin bauxite concession.

Some trucks belonging to the company have since been impounded by a government taskforce led by the District Chief Executive of Atwima Mponua District Assembly and the Ashanti Regional Minister.
