I am not greedy – Obour tells critics

The president of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice Osei Kuffour has expressed dismay over assertions he is stashing cash meant for musicians.

Obour, as he is affectionately called in the showbiz circles, rubbished deep-seated rumours that he is greedy.

According to him, his leadership style makes it difficult for some of his colleagues to comprehend his vision for the Union.

The award-winning musician has been described as “a gold digger, incompetent and a disappointment to the youth” and been accused as corrupt.

“I’m not greedy,” Obour averred to Morning Starr host Francis Abban on Thursday.

Obour has been accused of abusing some Gh¢2 million fund from government to musicians.

He has dare his critics to substantiate their allegations.

“It depends on how people see others. It’s looking as if it’s a canker to decide to lead in any form in this country,” Obour opined.

He added: “I put my career on the line to lead MUSIGA. My mom has been worried but it’s a decision I have made to lead. People are accusing me with no substance. People are just inciting others against me. I think we should do further probing in some of these allegations so we make educative comments.”

Obour stressed he has discharged himself well and will go back to his music career after his presidency, adding his legacy will exonerate him.
