South African giants, Kaizer Chiefs, are reported to be interested in the services of just ended WAFU Tournament top scorer, Stephen Sarfo.
According to KickOff.com, Chiefs have been monitoring Sarfo for several months now and were impressed with his showing at the recent West Africa Football Union Cup of Nations.
The 23-year-old is also currently topping the Ghana Premier League’s scoring charts with 15 goals, with two games still to be played.
He is currently on the books of Berekum Chelsea, which is based in the town where former Chiefs assistant coach John Paintsil hails from.
Paintsil is said to be playing a role in motivating the case of his countryman, who is expected to arrive in Naturena before the end of the year if Amakhosi win the race for his services.
There is also apparently interest from North Africa and Scandinavian clubs in the free-scoring forward.
Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has already hinted his interest in a striker who was at the WAFU Nations Cup.
Chiefs have so far tried out the Cameroon pair of Christ Mbondi and Julien Ebah with no success, along with Argentine forward Jonathan Javier Philippe.
