MICHY BATSHUAYI might have a few bruises in the morning after Chelsea’s win over Everton in the Carabao Cup.
The Blues beat Everton 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Antonio Rudiger’s looping header fired the hosts in front before Willian sealed the win for Antonio Conte’s side despite a late consolation goal from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
But Batshuayi nearly found the back of the net himself when he ran clear on goal.
However, a last-ditch tackle from Phil Jagielka prevented the Blues man from adding his name to the scoresheet.
Batshuayi clattered into the posts as a result of the tackle from the Toffees captain and he looked to be in some discomfort as a result.
The striker was later replaced by Alavaro Morata five minutes from time.
