‘I will be an action-oriented President’ – Spio-Garbrah

Former Trade Minister, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, may soon emerge as the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s flagbearer for the next general election if he is successful in the party’s primaries next year.

The experienced politician and former diplomat said he is ready to lead the party to reclaim power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 Presidential election.

“In 2006 I presented myself as a potential candidate for NDC, in 2016 we go to an election and we lose; 2017…by God’s grace I am alive, I am well, I am a healthy man, I am happy, I have my potentials, I have my capacities, why would any right-thinking person think that I could not or should not be a candidate for the leadership of the party?

“I will be an action-oriented President,” Spio-Garbrah told Joy News’ Gifty Andoh Appiah.
He is hopeful he will beat other potential candidates, which includes former President John Mahama.
